Sea green?
1 Answers
What was Carlyle's or Robespierre's connection with the sea that led Carlyle to use this phrase other than another, such as "the multi hued rainbow" or whatever, or Joyce's " snot green sea? " ie " the snot green incorruptible" ? Of course
it can't be inferred that Carlyle pre-empted Joyce, but could Joyce have pilferred Carlyle's phrase?
