earlyer this year I heard on the news that a hugr iceberg had broken off from the antartic ice cap and was on route to collide with somthing I was wondering what happend to it

We do well to take notice of these warning signs. There is a definite global warning going on which is vastly accelerated by Man's polution. One billion years ago there were no mammals and the only land was one big island. The reptiles that lived at that time probably wouldn't have added up to one million in total.
The land has slid across the globe since then and is much lower than what it was. When all the ice has melted the seas will be 6 metres higher, floading much of the populated areas as we know it now.
