Most definitely dogs. I have two and I love the fact that they're totally reliant on you, they're loyal and friendly and I get daily exercise taking them for long walks. I also think they're great to cuddle up next to without fear of getting your face torn off!!!

dnt get me wrong, dogs are definately little cuties!! but you get all the affection from a cat without having to be with them 24/7. Ive had nine cats all together and they always cuddle up to me, i still have my face. cats dont scratch people for no reason, thats what most believe and if they do scratch then that cat is crazy!! i also think that cats are great that when they get spooked you dont have the fear of being attacked violently or possibly killed.
Cats every time, soft and fuzzy, clean and tidy. Dont need exercising. Show affection because they want to not because theyre too dopey to have any self respect, they dont cr@p on the pavement, lick their bits and then lick your face, they dont sniff other cats bums and they look cool. (except the ones that look like they ran into a wall, theyre not cool....)
Cat or dog, ..... not really fussed, as long as there's enough meat on it for a decent size meal.
Cats! Well, apart from 6am today when I was chasing a cat chasing a mouse around my bedroom!

I like the fact that I dont 'own' my cat. It validates the affection I do get from her, yes she is stroppy and demanding but shes there because she wants to be, not because shes too thick to go elsewhere.....
I like both, but lack of space means that I can only have a cat. I always thought I was a dog person until we were adopted by Pickle....but he makes me laugh so much that I couldn't care less that he is a cat. Stupid little fur-ball fell in the bath this morning....he had me in hysterics!

Cats love the company of humans, our doors are always open cos its summer and our cats choose to come up to my room and just sleep next to me when they can be outside.
Dogs, dogs, dogs. Dogs are the best. They are smarter and can be trained to help humans, whether it be helping the blind, the hard of hearing, guard dogs, rescue dogs, sniffer dogs, they can even sense when people are going to have an epileptic fit. Yes cats can be loving and friendly but dogs are the best because they are so versatile. Thank you.

Looking after a dog is like looking after a kid, they want so much attention, they are so wet and attention seeking like an annoying kid. they are dirty animals and you have to bath them cos they wont do it otherwise. Woo hoo they save lives, i dont have a pet so it can save my life or other peoples. cats are so cool to watch they just look like mini tigers or any big cats. and you know when they are being affectionate its because they are really happy and just felt like showing you they like you, whereas dogs will lick anyones face and be friendly to anyone, yeah thats loyal!! abandon a cat and it will survive, a dog would just die unless it is found by a human because they are dependants. cats are more like people they have moods and are not in a permanant state of happiness, they sometimes want to be on their own. and who cares if dogs can learn to sit and do tricks, why do you wanna watch your pet bring things to you and stuff. cats can be trained but it is harder because they only do things if it benefits them not just to please a human, thats so soppy and pathetic. and dogs poo and just leave it their, at least cats dig a hole poo and then cover it up again and they do the same with wee instead of weeing up a lamp post. You dont have to worry that your dog is gonna feel rejected and get all depressed everytime you go to the shops and leave them at home, and if they are that bad you have to take them with you everytime.
Question Author
to clarify the last bit, cat owners dont have to worry their cat is gonna get all depressed when you go to the shops because they are fine by themselves for a long time unlike dogs who would break down after an hour.

Dogs
no Cats
I have had both and can't decide. Cats are relaxing, sensitive and very affectionate. But dogs are hardy, loyal and no where near as snooty. I think that animals are just like people - its not the make or colour, its there personality. My cat certainly has a unique one.
