hedgehogs in the garden?

we have a hedgehog who has made his home in the garden, is it best to let it go in the wild? our garden is secluded and thier is trees at the back of our garden where there is plenty of extra ground for it to roam about in.

It sounds like he has found the perfect place in which to hibernate....so as long as the cat's don't mind...I'd leave him to it. You could also try leaving some water nearby for him....just in case he wakes up thirsty....but as I'm no hedgehog expert I won't even try to recommend any sort of food [maybe some one else can]. Just enjoy his presence...he/she may reward you with babies to watch next year!
