Slug-like trails on carpet

There always seem to be slug-like trails on my lounge carpet around the sofa. I've never seen any slug or other creature that could be the culprit. Any idea what could be making these? Thank you in advance.

probably is a slug. I have had them indoors before. Put down a saucer of beer over night and if it is a slug it will crawl in and drown.

Get up in the middle of the night - you will see a slug on your carpet.

You need to find how the blessed things are getting in - and where they are hiding during the day.

Tip your sofa up and get a torch in all the nooks and crannies.

When i moved into my house i had this.......above are spot on! came down about 4am to see a huge brown slug making himself at home on the sofa!!! look about the skirting.....they can get through the smallest gap.

It will be slugs for sure ... we get them frequently in the spring - have you got dogs, because we find they hitch rides on the legs of ours! (the dogs might also be a solution as one of ours is into chewing slugs if she finds one)
