why doesnt a penguins blood freeze in such cold climates

Basically, because their metabolism is designed to keep a warm core temperature and they have the most amazing insulation!

I always used to wear two pairs of socks and never suffered from frostbite.
Because theyr'e not full of blood, silly ... everyone knows they have a chocolate centre.
