how can i stop my cat from going into my front garden @ crossing the road? I want him to stay to the back of the house where It's all fields.

Hi, basic answer....you can't. You can limit him to your back garden if it is fenced in by using the following...

...but if he can get into the fields he will find a way to get to the front of the house.

Sorry should have added, chances are he'll prefer to be in the fields anyway.....more things to hunt :o]
Agree with previous poster - cat will prefer the fields, and their natural defences will mean the cat will be wary of the road if it's noisy.... You can't control where they go, but they're not stupid and will prob stay in the field anyway. :)
