Mouse in Composter
12 Answers
I have a rodent in my plastic composter, I am sure it will be breeding in there, how can I evict it. I fear when I empty it in the Spring I shall be doing a girlie thing and screaming as families of mice run for cover. Don't suggest BBQ the plastic will melt.

do you put edible stuff in there? I had to stop putting in veg and fruit trimming etc and revert to just garden waste to deal with the same problem. Traditional compost heaps have always hosted wildlife, which is why you don't have them near the house. (in mine at various times, a colony of bees, snakes and toads as well as the aforesaid mice.) If the rodents are only in the heap and not visiting your house pr garage, I would suggest letting be until the spring and then getting someone else to empty it
yes thats a good idea incitatus, but you dont want to encourage the smoking thing, otherwise he will move in and then you'll find him eating your food and playing playstation games all night, forgetting to wash and sleeping all day on the sofa while you're at work, he's best off in the composter, hard experience talking here. :-D
construct another composter next to you're current one and let it out to large families of filthy theiving rats with unintelligible accents, mr squeaky will soon be moving onto a more peaceful neighbourhood, you will be left with a rat problem, but you can deny there is any prior agreement and report them as being trespassers, police will then evict them for you.
