isnt this cannabilism (i dont they probably dont care) but isn't it dangerous to the pigeons to eat a fellow bird

That does sound abit weird, but then surely us eating beef, pork, lamb and so on is the same as we are all mammals?

I cant see it being dangerous, as some animals eat their own babies at times?
My parrot likes nothing better than a piece of cooked chicken!

KFC is her favourite. Honest.
Cannibalism is one species eating another of its own species. As pigeons and chickens are separate species, pigeons eating chicken can't be considered cannibals!
I always found this odd too, but then again, you get eagles eating pigeons and other birds, plus fish (like sharks) eat smaller fish and snakes eat smaller snakes.

Pigeon eating a pigeon would be cannabilism. Btw, try finding a videoclip of a pelican eating a pigeon that happened a few months back!
If you were eating a pigeon butty and dropped some they'd eat it for sure. Rats with wings.
At a risk of lowering the tone, I was once made to feel very very queazy when standing in a bus station to see a pigeon eating someone's vomit.

It was truly disgusting and I think they will eat just anything, no matter what.
I once saw a pheasant eat a mouse. I don't know if it caught it or not (probably not they're neither smart nor fast) but I thought that was pretty wierd as well.
My chickens like chicken (cooked of course) the only thing they don't like are pickled onions!
