Why do flies have eyes that are sectioned into hundreds of different pieces?

They are compound eyes with many individual facets, each representing a separate light-detecting unit.

Why do flies get the high tech super duper eyes? Shouldnt we all get eyes like that?
well we can always buy glasses, use a telescope, even have laser eye surgery, the poor fly only needs their for 24 hours anyway, we need ours alot longer.
Besides, a fly couldnt use a white stick or control a labrador.

It wouldnt need to, it would just jump aboard the labrador and catch a free ride!
