Tell me your funny Cat stories please....

I have decided to write a book about cats. Not the usual information guide which tells you how a perfect cat should look and behave.

I want to write a book that has some of you ab cat-lovers stories. Coming home with an empty baked bean can attached to the magnetic collar is my favourite - thus far. How your cat wakes you up in the morning, how it torments dogs - anything amusing or freaky.

This book is still in its early planning stages, but lets face it - we all enjoy telling people about what our cats have been up to.

People brag about how obedient their dogs are - but cat owners love telling people how bad their moggie has been.

I intend for the book to be a cheap booklet that I can print on my computer and sell for charity. But you never know - maybe it will be a bestseller!

My previous cat became very nervous about going out and used to look up all the time he was out. We soon realised he was being dive-bombed by magpies after we'd bought him one of those shiny metallic silver collars! Poor cat,but he soon recovered when we changed it.
Maybe that should be in a book about the strange things that birds do!!

I had two cats when I lived in West Wales by the beach (nextdoor to a pub). One of them was a real character and loved the beach. Every day in the Summer she would be brought home by different kids from the beach who would knock the door after carrying her home for us (the locals knew where she lived). One day, I walked into the pub with my mate, and spotted my cat, quite at home, curled up on the counter behind the bar, eating scampi fries which one of the regulars apparently always used to buy for her - apparently she was a regular there too. She'd walk to the shop with us like she was a dog, and was always up to mischief. Another day, I got a phone call from the shop to say that she'd turned up there, gone out the back and curled up in front of the fire, and they couldn't get her out the door because it was raining - I had to drive up there to pick her up in the car! Hope these "wee tails" help x

I have had many cats over the years, and some of my stories are 2-3 lines long, like when our dog tried to bury one of them in the backyard!!! Would it be ok to send you them all in one go, it would be wonderful to have them all imortalised in a lil book, with other crazy cats just like them!

Is there a cut off date? do you need pictures, because unfortunately i don't have any of my cats, lots of my camera loving dogs, but the cats, no!

Loon76 - I have just started out on my quest for stories. It might take me a long time to find the funniest stories. When your dog tried to bury your dog - who came off worst?

I have had several cats over the years, tom's and queen's all with wonderful personalities and funny ways. One of my female cats who was called Misty loved to be hoovered and was in seventh heaven, she used to dribble all the while I was doing it!....... She also liked her Sunday dinner, I always had to give her some of whatever meat we were having plus gravy and cauliflower with cheese sauce, for along time after she passed away Sunday was never the same, I really missed putting her dinner out. She passed away at the grand old age of 18 and a half December 18th 2000 and I still miss her to this day.
