Arn't cats great!
5 Answers
I have just finished a month long stint of cat sitting and have renewed some old acquaintances and met new cats. They all have such great personalities and strange habits and it's a brilliant job just going into peoples houses and looking after their cats - I wish I could afford to do it all the time! Sorry - it's not a question but I felt like sharing that.

I have been well trained by my two cats. I feed on demand. I cuddle when ordered. I groom when a bum is stuck in my face. I wake up during the night when nuzzled or bitten.
I quite fancy doing the odd bit of doggy walking etc. But cat sitting isn't something that I had considered.
You never know - there may be a cat out there looking to adopt a human, and you would be a soft target.

I'm glad you've enjoyed your time with the felines - yes I agree they have great personalities and some charming ways - all my cats have been indoor cats - busy road and bird life, plus the more than likely experience of having one stolen, just because they're cute.
They've all been different but all loving and affectionate and great companions - have two dogs as well, so a real mixed bag.
seekeerz - I agree with you about indoor cats. I live in the town centre and the road outside is teeming at the weekend. I know that cats are hunters and need to get out etc.
But my two have known nothing else, neither did my last monster.
Bensmum - I used to be a dog lover and thought that cats were boring. They are anything but. The two I have just now are only 18 months old and they are new - I have had them a month, previous owner cared greatly for them but there were allergy problems.
As soon as I got them I could see the difference in their personalities. The are boy and girl siblings. I love them to bits already and am always being surprised and amused by their antics.
My brother has kiddies and I have kitties - and my kitties are my kiddies.

Thanks for the comments. I have 2 cats, Flossie and Daisy, having lost Flossie's sister Min just before Christmas. I have always had cats and loved them which is why I enjoy cat sitting so much. Mind you I have also had dogs in the past and would love another but circumstances are not right at present. Mind you I also have guinea pigs so I'm a sucker for animals. You're right wolf63 - I would be a soft target if another cat came along, in fact I have had strays come in in the past and make themselves at home!
