I've heard that mice are incontinent, but does this apply to hamsters?

no i think its just mice that urinate constantly which is why they smell so bad! hamsters are very clean and odourless.
our hamsters always urinated in the same place in their cages so i don't thik they are incontinent.
Mice and rats tend to be incontinent, I have had both as pets and they do tend to wee on your shoulder when they are sat there.

Hamsters are no way like this they have control, during their sleep period i.e. during the day they will get up out of bed to go to the toliet like us humans do. And as already stated they have a regular place to go (one corner of their cage) and they will urinate there almost always.
I think mice can be found in most continents
