Dead frogs in our garden
4 Answers
We have found several frogs of different ages dead in the garden.
We have a pond and have removed 3 that we can see.
The pond has been established for about 3 years, it is not very big but we do have 8 fish that have lived there for all that time. The pond was previously the other side of the garden where it was in direct sun all day under a tree.
Earlier this year we had several clumps of frogspawn as in past years. There is no sign of the spawn now.
We have not seen any live frogs for a week or two.

I have noticed that frogs always seem to spawn in the same part of a pond each year, normaly the area that gets the most sun ie south or west facing in the shallows, maybe now that your pond is more shaded they find it less attractive.
I hope it's not a disease thats making frogs scarce this year, ill watch this thread with interest. regards Tbird+
