In new build houses with roofs supported with trusses is there a weight limit on the amount you can store on a boarded attic floor ? Can anyone, please, provide an rough guide ?

Hmmm - most people assume they can store 'stuff' in the loft and don't worry about the weight.

If you intend to store more than average, I suggest you contact the builder and ask his advice.
There's always a weight loading limit on any floor. Was your attic floored as part of the build? This could make a difference. Like Ethel says, ask the builder. He should be able to tell you from tables for the installed timber quality-certification, size, and span.
It shouldn't be much of a problem unless you want to fit a big water tank, or store a huge pile of bricks!
