Orangutan BBC1 Diaries - Sanctuary to close

I was distressed to watch the wonderful BBC Orutan Diaries recently and learn that the sanctuary � Nyaru Menteng � has completely run out of funding. The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) and the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) are appealing for funds to stop the sanctuary from closing via their website (www.wspa.org.uk). Don't we owe these wonderful creatures a donation or two for what our consumerism is doing to their environment?

It was a wonderful programme,Wendy.I was sad to hear that the rescue centre could close.Several friends & I have made donations,or adopted one of the orangs.Last I heard,things were beginning to look up,as people WERE donating
