Their arrival seems to get earlier every year. Has anyone spotted any yet?

Not yet here in Derbyshire, but with this warm spell it wouldn't surprise me if they're early. They normally arrive during the first week in May & I usually put a celebratory thread on here. :o)

They've just arrived here north of Paris so summer is finally here....
Just had a look in my diary and they arrived May 3rd last year, (in Dorset, that is) so any time now.

The first Swallows have been here quite a while, although I've only seen one lonesome little bird.
Friend who is a market gardener spotted two birds last Sunday. He only caught a glimpse, so he's unsure whether they were swallows or house martins. Either way, they're nearly a month early here, just north of Dundee.
Funny you should ask, saw my first swallow this morning here in Lancashire. Just the one though.

I'm pretty sure I saw one last Tuesday - a swallow, just the one on a phone wire. Not particularly sure, though (I was driving past at the time).
Mine come back every year to the same stable and have about 2/3 lots of young. There is only 1 though!! and it has been here in South Yorkshire about 2 weeks.
