How do I stop my cat catching bees?
Sam has discovered a new game this weekend - stalking and then catching bumble bees - he's very good at it - he watches them for a while then jumps in the air at the crucial moment and catches them between his giant paws. He then balances on his haunches for a moment before letting them go and watching them fly off.
All great fun and very funny to watch but I just wish it wasn't bees! Bumbles are fairly unlikely to sting him but I'm worried he's going to start doing it with wasps when they appear.
Any bright ideas on how I can explain to him in feline terms why this isn't perhaps the brightest idea he's ever had?!

We are all God's children......even evil scumbag cats!
:-))
annavc - Sam caught his dinner yet today ? One of mine made a dash for a bird, (it was outside and he was inside) and fell off the window into his litter tray and I now have cat litter all over the bathroom floor - and a dead hoover, (another story!). He is avoiding me at present.

He saves his energy for an early evening bug hunt when I get home from work (should be working right now so shhhh - you haven't seen me right!). I can guarantee that at this moment he will be lying on his very large fleecy beanbag with his head upside down, feet in the air and snoring loudly!
I can just imagine your little monster doing that -the joys of feline parenthood! Animals often don't seem to grasp the concept of glass do they - I had a dog once who decided she really had to join the kids next door who were playing football and she ran straight through a plate glass door! Not a scratch on her, she barely batted an eyelid as glass fell all over the kitchen floor!
Enjoy cleaning up the spilt litter! It could have been worse!!
