female rabbit and guniea pig

Hi i have a 2 yr old female rabbit, does anyone know if i buy a guniea pig and put them together will they be ok or fight, if they will get on together does it matter what sex i buy?

Even though it's popular to put a rabbit with a guinea pig, it's now recommended that you dont do it.

I have also heard this. My vet, who is something of an authority on rabbits and guinea pigs advises against it as does the RSPCA (at least our local animal shelter did). Can you maybe see about getting another rabbit as a friend? Perhaps a neutered male.

rabbits and guinea pigs get along just fine. we have had them for years and they have never had a fight. or had sex. they are the perfect companions. also - guinea pigs need companions to be happy. they also like being talked to and will squeek back at you. social little things they are
