I have an Eastern Rosella that 12 months ago lost the feathers from around his ears. The gradually came back but not as before.
Just recently, he has started to lose them again.
Can anybody give any advise please.
Thankyou in advance.

Unusual in such a young bird. It can be many different causes. There are not many feathers that cover the ears so any loss is very noticeable. If you are sure that it is not part of the annual molt, get a spot-on type worming agent from the vet/petshop. Skin mites is a top suspect. Second choice may be an ear infection and the bird keeps wiping the area over the perch and scratching it to try and get rid of the irritation.
