Loop Pedals

I'm thinking of investing in a Loop Pedal. Can anyone give any recommendations for a good quality loop pedal that isn't too expensive? Particularly one for a solo, vocal act? (not guitar) I have been researching an 'Akai E2 Headrush' model (one recommended by KT Tunstall) though I'm not sure this would be the best for me...and I don't particularly want to spend too much money only to find out that it isn't the type I'm looking for.
