bumblefoot

My sevefre mccaw has had bumblefoot on both feet for years. Some of the toes have curled up so he cannot grasp with them.
Yesterday, one of his toes fell off It appears to have healed well. It appears another is about to fall off.
I suspect it is too late to do anything about it?
He has been treated/seen at the Animal Medical Center in NYC for 15 years. He has had the conditiion for 10-12.
