Why are robins never seen in summer time?

They are. The pugnacious robin (which fights with its own kind and attacks birds of other species)
is seen all year round. You may see notice them more in the winter for two reasons; first, this is when they are most active because it is the period when they explore outside their own territories in a bid to find a mate; and also robins from Scandinavia and Russia fly in to avoid their own harsh winters.
