think the actual procedure takes less than half an hour - but you will probably be expected to drop your dog off in the morning, when they will probably give it a pre med (sedative), and you could be able to collect her mid afternoon or evening surgery. You will probably have to take her back in around 8 days to have stitches removed. She may be groggy in the evening, or she may not be dependant on how she takes the anasthetic. Hope all goes well.
Hi hollie
I had my dog speyed two weeks ago. Just as Jules said, it will take about 30 minutes but expect your dog to be in the vets for most of the day.
My dog had to go back for a check up four days later and the stitches did not have to be removed.
They dissolve them selves. She was fine after the fourth day. Try to keep her quiet for a few days and walks on leads only for about a week.
I am sure she will be fine.
