Hi I have a staffie pup Talulah (10 months, had her for 3 months) and a mix breed Jade (7 years), they are fine together most of the time except when we are out walking and I thow a stick for them Talulah will jump on Jades back and bite her neck, at the moment I am trying to combat this by shouting loud or claping, also Talulah do's not get on with my cat I have tryed the scent rubbing. Do's anyone have any other suggestions or do I just carry on doing what I am doing.
Thanks
Thanks

Unfortunately staffies are not the best at integrating with other dogs, nor cats!!, and the pup is getting to the age where she is trying to show her dominance over Jade. Sticks are not a great idea to throw for your dogs, try taking out two balls, one each? Good luck.....
Thanks jules77 I will try the tin thing, Talulah went to puppy classes with her former owner, I rang her last night as she is also the breeder and she has tal's mum and sister still anyway Tal's sister do's the same thing to her mum when she wants to play!!!
So I am hoping that with proper training and distractions she will stop it !
I did have balls to thorw years ago when Jade was a pup but she always ran off with the ball and hid it then she would come back with a stick LOL
Thankyou again for taking the time to answer my ?

It's not a good idea to throw sticks as it can cause problems splintering and getting stuck in the dog's mouths, especailly the Staffy. As an ex Staff owner I know that you have to be really firm It sounds as though she's trying to stamp her dominance on the others and believe me they can try it on. Stamp on it, your the boss and she has to know it and get back in the pecking order and unfortunately she has to know that she is last.
Good luck
