help!!!

hey guys... my dog was playing with my adidas deodorant botle before i cud even take it away from him it got punctured n a real horrible sound came .. when i went n looked everything was out of the bottle... i really dunno if any of it got into him... he dint seem to cry or anything... the vet said just give him gelusil.... has this ever happened to any of ur dogs??? is it somethign serious... i feel he is a little dull after that but dunno if im just imagining... n now he's gone to sleep....

I would have thought the smell/taste would put him off and doubt if he has swallowed any.

Still he should smell ok for a while.

Forgot to add, my dog gets all 'fruity' when he smells either deodorant or perfume, rubbing all round you and rolling on the floor.

A few years back our dog put his teeth through my mum's asthma inhaler and got all the gas/air in his mouth.

His eyes were almost rolling in his head, but after a few hours he perked up and lived for years. My mother didn't tell anyone what had happened until after the recovery.

If the vet is unconcerned please don't worry. Dogs and cats eat some crazy things - some are very poisonous, but it sounds like adidas isn't harmful to canines.

We all feel a little guilty is somethig like this happens - it is all part of being a responsible owner.
