This is exactly how I like to spend my Tuesday evenings...

/monday mornings, zapping fleas from my border collie's coat and drowning them in a glass of water. (The fleas that is!)
We went on holiday, leaving our boy with a usually very well run kennels but when we came back he was infested with fleas.
We have tried everything, flea powder, flea shampoo and now we're zapping his coat with a flea zapper but nothing seems to shift them!
Can anyone please tell me how to get rid off them?!

Get some Advocate from the vets, this is great stuff treats fleas, ticks, fox mange, and some types of worms (can't remember off the top of my head). Its much better than Frountline.
Currently my vet says the company have it on offer, so you get 4 months for the price of 3 (17.00) so do ask if your vet is doing the same.

Just realised what breed you have! Do not use Advocate!!!!
Advocate, along with other medications have contra indications concerning herding breeds/Collies as it contains macrocyclic lactones which are not recommended for these breeds.
I will try to find the leaflet but just had to warn you in case you were going to get some. Not all vets realise the implications of giving collies any of the treatments that contain ivermectin or any of the other macrocyclic lactones.

Think we will have to go to the vets and see, I have seen frontline adverts so also may give that a try.
Haha zacsmaster mines exactly the same, he's also four years old. I'd say for definate that he's the maddest dog we've ever had!!
