Hi oldgrape.
I have been having the same problem over the past three weeks. Spiders the size you would not believe and getting them nearly every day.
I hate the things. I plugged in one of those sonar devices that a friend gave me. Only had it plugged in for a day now and nothing so far, but I will not hold my breath.
I will keep you updated as to how well it works or not

It's that time of year - they are coming in for the winter as they need a home too! They don't do any harm - in fact the large one in my bathroom has caught several flies, which are far more annoying, so can't we all live together in happiness? It's very depressing to see so many people irrationally eager to extinguish life in any form... fine to use deterrents such as conkers if they work, but please think twice before trying to kill them.

I also use admiral spider spray and its great. I hate spiders and cant stand the thought of them being in my room, I spray my room from top to bottom and it works great. All spiders that are alive in the house are killed and all others are deterred from entering. I definetly recommend it. However, the smell can be a bit intoxicating so I also recommend wearing a mask when spraying it or leaving a window open for 5 minutes. Order the spray at www.spidergone.co.uk.
