garlic for fleas

Is it true that garlic each day will keep fleas away? If so, how much garlic? fresh cloves or garlic capsule opened onto food? Help - I just got a new puppy King Charles Spaniel and also got a 5yr old Yorkie. None of them have fleas I just want to prevent them invading my dogs and my home!!

well yes it is supposed to help - one capsule is all you need. I stopped using it on mine though as I heard it can cause other problems as it thins the blood too much, no doubt other Abers will have some advice.
