Hi all, just wanted to tell everybody that I took my new puppy to his first champ. show today at the tender age of 6 months and one week and he qualified for Crufts in a large minor puppy dog class.

My girls qualified for Crufts, just that I wasnt expecting much at his first show, especially when it was such a large class. A very proud mom!!

Well done
Congratulations to all 3 of you? What breed?

Oh that's gorgeous, just love the way that the hair stands up and frames the face. Is there just a trace of expression that says "yes I know I am truly beautiful"

I always want Irish Setters and Whippets to win (my family), but shall now keep my fingers crossed for rough collies.

ps don't you find it irritating at how little tv coverage the show gets when you consider how much other rubbish is on for hours
She has a lovely smiley face.

I have only had two dogs and they have been of mongrel type - or cross-breed sounds better.
Question Author
yes he is quite a little showman when he wants to be, and is such a gorgeous little boy to live with. My little tri colour is the best behaved in the ring, and quite a poser, as if she was just 'born to it', but she is 2 years old so has had more experience.

Yes I do find the lack of TV coverage irritating, but suppose there are so many breeds, they will never please everyone.
Apologise to your dog for me. I called him "she", truly a dreadful thing to say about a macho little lad.

I admit to being traumatised when I discovered that Lassie was, in fact, played by Laddie. I felt that Hollywood had lied to me.

Maybe your lad could be the new Lassie! :-)
Aw. Well done Jules and to your pup.
WE will watch for him in years to come when the show is being televised.
Oh what a stunner he is! Did you post a pic of him on here a week or so ago? I fell in love with him then.....congratulations!!
From someone who really appreciates what an achievement this is in your breed - well done indeed.
Is that his sister who also qualified in MPB?
Well done Jules!! (And puppy!) K xx

Lankeela, no it wasnt his litter sister in MPB, same breeder, different parents. You figured out the kennel name then?!!
Managed to get a look at a catalogue today, see they both have the same birthday though.

Consistent breeding!
Are you going to LKA? Perhaps we can meet and have a chat.
Question Author
yep Lankeela, taking two to LKA, the puppy and my tri bitch. Yes rather unfortunate to have two litters born same day, unusual for them, they probably wont breed again for another 12 months, they dont breed for the sake of it.

I looked in the catalogue for a show I went to before to see if you were entered as I notice your name on here is your kennel name, and you werent as I was going to come and introduce myself, cant remember which show it was, must have been a few months ago, as I havnt been out since the summer, lack of coat I am afraid.

see you there?!
I'll be there for sure - (brag time!) I'm judging the Heelers. My first tickets. Entries have closed so now its wait and see how many I have upset in the past few months/years!.
We'll have to arrange to meet once we know the judging order.
Question Author
oh thats great - bet you are looking forward to that one.

Roughs will be in first thing for sure, and I am guessing she will have a good entry, and as I have a MPD I will have to be there early, and then hang around for PGB.

But I usually manage to fit some shopping in, and I need to go and introduce myself to someone on one of the stands as well.
