smelly hamster....
6 Answers
This morning, i went to wake dopey, my hamster, up for his breakfast and noticed a peculiar smell comnig from him... it's not like him to smell as I always give him a bath every other evening. Anyway, I gave him a bath first thing then and left hm by the window in the sun, to dry off.
It has only been a few hours since his bath, after which he smelled like roses, but just now I went to check up on him again and he had started to pong like before :(
The smell is that of musty old socks, or an old washing up sponge ... really odd and not nice at all...
What do you think is causing it and how do I make dopey smell all flowery again? He has noticed it too and is holding his own little nose and looking at me with a quiet desperate look (he can't talk obviously)....... I have sprayed him with my fave perfume for the mo but is there a real cure for his BO problem? Please help!

please don't spray him with perfume as it is toxic and the little guy will try ingest it when he cleans himself. Also your not really meant to bathe your hamster very often either - talk it through with the vet
