Animal Fodder
2 Answers
I am wondering about the feed analysis for animal-based fodder ( I know they are banned in most countries- thank the maker), but I have to research them and compare them to plant based fodder. I am having a H_ _ _ of a time finding any information outside of BSE. I want to know how much protein and carbs they had in them. Any websites welcome- or any common knowledge that you may have.
Thanks so much!

All I could find free was this: http://www.ausrenderers.com.au/pdf_other/Austr alian%20MB%20%20Meal%20Nutritional%20Review.pd f
Pretty heavy going and it doesn't specifically do carbohydrate, just fats. Sorry I can't be more help, maybe someone else will have more luck.

Hi Kimmiebear,
You're going to have a hard time finding info on animal based fodder, as it has been banned in the UK for many years.
What you're looking for is info on Meat and Bone Meal, or MBM, for which you'll have to go abroad. I found one such Canadian site here:
http://www.rothsay.ca/specs/mbm_spec.html
Carbohydrate is not usually included in such analyses but can be estimated by 100 - protein % - lipid % - ash% - moisture %.
Hope this helps. If you need any further help just ask!
