25 week old cat really naughty

Hey my cat/kitten is 25 weeks old (just over 6 months) he was neutered about 3-4 weeks ago, he has always been such a loving lie in your arms type cat always for fuss. But this last couple of weeks since ive started letting him out at weekends when im there and about half an hour ish after work, he has just gone completely wild and horrible. You go to fuss him and he starts biting thinking its a game, will rarely let you fuss him, completely flying round the house and scratching at doors all the time its driving me mad. What is wrong with him? Is it just his growing up stage?does this mean he will stay like this now and that ive lost the loving time that he used to be?Anyone else experienced this? cheers

hes turning into a teenager , he wont stay scatty he will calm down i have 8 cats all between 8 and 12 years old but at this time of year they all have their mad moments indoors i think its because its not nice to stay out very long. to cold to climb up the trees so they all play up indoors and flying about the furniture is far more fun then playing with their toys

Thankyou for your answer I think you may be right! He has only been out a few times, but the last couple of times hes been let out he has wanted to be out with me or the other cats there or else he gets bored and wants to come in! And the other 2 cats have just been spayed/neutered today so arent gunna be going out for a bit! Plus he wanted to go out but the weather was so horrible he didnt even last a minute til he was miawing to come in!
