Hi jules, if my memory serves me correctly, you recommended Liverine Unction cream for Jack's skin condition. I picked some up on ebay (it's really hard to get hold of elsewhere, without incurring ludicrous p&p!)

I remember you and possibly lankeela commenting on the smell etc., but to me it just looks and smells like pink vaseline. Before I leave feedback I just wanted to know if this is how it ought to be, or have I been ripped?!

Hi lankeela, thanks for your response. It's actually in a little white pot about two-and-a-half inches high, so I wonder if they buy bigger quantities and divide it up themselves?

I presume it's better than vaseline would be; otherwise, that's what I will use!

Yes that sounds right Lisa. I have just smelt mine and it doesnt smell of anything particular, as you say, like 'pink vaseline'!!

Mine is in a small plastic clear tub about the size of a large cotton reel and I got it off a friend who is a dog groomer. It doesnt look like manufactuers packaging, so, I think he must have dispensed it into the smaller pots himself, but it serves its purpose. Found this site selling it cheaply at �3.50 a tub.

Hi jules, thank you very much for your reply. Put some on Jack's nose before, where his Halti sometimes rubs: he looked most perturbed!!

Thks for the link; if it seems to work for him, I will pick up a couple of tubs and stash them away!

You could always try aloe vera jelly, I stick it on everything!!

I recommened it Lisa, but mine is in a blue round tin pink in colour and smells like germoline, most good pet shops sells it and its not expensive.

Looking at the advert on Ken Smith's site it says they have introduced new packaging. I did have a look at the dog show today but couldn't see any on the Canine Chemist stand.
