Certainly not what is commonly sold as 'parrot mix' in your local pet store. Seeds make up only a relatively small part of the south american parrots' diet, and can, at best, be regarded as a survival food. Scour the websites pertaining to your particular species of conure and find out what they eat in the wild, taking note on how they change their diet throughout the year, albeit through necessity. Try to emulate this to the best of your ability using common sense - many south american parrots eat toxic vegetation but are able to negate this by chewing on mineral rich clay which almost certainly won't be available to you.
It is a lot of work, but you did ask for the best food. Second choice would be an assortment of vegetables and fruits supplemented with a variety of sprouted seeds and perhaps some of the pelleted diet. Try to vary the food as much as you can, and remove any uneaten food daily. Cuttlefish bone - either whole or powdered on their food - is beneficial, and ofcourse fresh water replenished every day is essential. Parrots do not need grit.
