How long does a pomeranian live? Mine is 13 and shows no sign of cashing in her chips evn tho she has two hernias which the vet wont operate on because she is too old he says. Otherwise she is quite healthy. I love her to bits.

Andy domestic dog in her teens is doing well. Your vet is probably concerned that her heart wouldn't stand the strain of surgery, but if she is OK, then leave well alone. Enjoy her while she is here, and take care of her.
