I recently posted a question about Chinese Hamsters, well now my question has completely changed... Oops, I found out both of them are opposite sexes!! I took them to have them checked as I wondered why one of them was chasing the other one round the cage all the time. Well I found out why! My question is- how likely is it that the female is pregnant? They are roughly 8-10 weeks old and I bought them both from the same cage in the pet shop and they lived together for 24 hours when I took them home.

And I forgot to add they are now in separate cages
This is exactly what happened to me!!! I went from two very nice russian dwarf hamster to 32 not so nice russian dwarf hamsters before I could work out what sex they were - bewarned the last generation were properly mental through the interbreeding ... not a nice story but there it is I had loads of mutant hamster that I had to care for as I couldn't give the nasy little blighters way. Ended up with a room full of cages to keep them all apart (they tended to try to eat each other)... so if they were mine I'd bet on her being pregnant.
