I bought one of these things on EBay with the intention of turning Princess Merlin from a ball of fuzz into a sleek cat. My technique must be wrong because not much is happening. Do I just use it like a normal comb? Her coat is actually in really good condition at present and there are not many knots - to be honest usually I just deal with the potential knots and knots and leave the rest up to her to deal with. She is an indoor cat. She hates being groomed - and she bites. Susan

The furminator should be used to remove any excess undercoat particularly when they are moulting. Only use it for a maximum of three strokes in any one place or else you will remove too much top coat. It could be that your Princess Merlin has a very thick top coat.
