In November I posted , seeking advice on how to feed a neglected Doberman which we had rescued from the dog pound. I had answers from Diamond Life, lankeela, divegirl and eyeshade. Thanks to you all! I am happy to report that Champ is thriving. He is enjoying life in the countryside in the company of a collie and a Westie . His ribs and hipbones are well fleshed over and he is gaining in confidence and is a great companion. Thanks again!

Wonderful news, happy to have been of service. Super name too.
I didnt see your post in November, but glad your dog is doing well, I do like a nice ending.
I also missed your post, but what wonderful outcome. Its lovely to hear of these happy endings when the poor souls have suffered so much.Well done for your rescue,Its so nice to hear of the kindness of people, it makes up for the cruel ones out there.g.
I like the name too.

Ten + years ago I took on a very nervous GSD cross and he was a wreck. I remember clearly the first time he strutted along confidently with his tail held high.

I hope that Champ continues to thrive and is a loving companion for many years.
Hi, really glad that your boy is doing so well, but remember, we only gave the advice..........you're the one who's done the hard work.....you should be very proud!

About the name.......Champ is the fourth Doberman which we have owned. The previous one died unexpectedly two years ago. We had got him as a pup from a family where the children had started calling him Murphy. We renamed him Spud . Murphy and spud are two names for potatoes here in Ireland. It seemed natural to continue the potato theme. Hence we call our present one Champ!
