I think you mean just mammals... Lots of small desert mammals (including gerbils) can live on little or no liquid water.
They get water from juicy food, and from "metabolic water" -- some water is released even from dry food together with the energy (JillS will tell you how...).
They can get by on so little because their urine is very concentrated. Some even have a paste of uric acid crystals, instead of a watery solution of urea like us, dogs, horses etc. This is much more efficient, but they have to have much bigger kidneys. Birds, spiders and many other animals also have uric acid urine -- it's the white stuff in bird droppings.
Many mammals drink very little except when producing milk -- sheep for example, if they're on lush grass.
Incidentally, both brown and black rats do need liquid water.
