what do you think is happeing to my hamster?

i have a hamster who i have had since 2 years now and there is somthing wierd that is happening.my hamster is starting to go very cold and hiding away and breathing down this could be due rather to hibernation or the hamster could be in bad pain.what do you think is happening?

You should take him/her to the vet. It sounds as if something is very wrong and you don't want it to be in pain. They unfortunatley only live for a couple of years so, sad as it is, you may have to face bad news.

Afraid I agree- two years is about normal for a hamster and it unfortunately sounds similair to what happened with all of the hamsters my kids had. When their time is up they do seem to start to shut down. Sorry about that.
