cat kiled this morning

this morning one of my cats has been killed on the road who ever hit him did not even have the decency to lay him on the side just left him laying in the road the basxxxd! bless his little heart not a mark on him so it must have been a quick end not that it makes hurt any less for me, sorry every body but all my family are at work and have no one here with me to talk to ,just needed to tell somebody

Oh you poor thing - you must be devastated. I cant understand why the person didnt stop. I would be so upset if I had hit your poor cat. I cry if I see a dead bird even.

Awww bless you, this has happened to three of my cats in the past, I refuse to have one now, it's too heartbreaking.

Try to console yourself with the fact that it was quick, which I know is easier said than done.

And yes, I understand the "need to tell someone" bit, don't apologise for that, we all do it.

thanks everyone i cant stop crying i just sat and held him hoping to feel a pulse but i knew he was gone i have to keep going and touching him to just be sure

Oh ruthann, that's so sad. I really feel for you. Sorry for your loss. At least your cat's entry to Rainbow Bridge was quick-I bet he's having his favourite lunch and a glass of cream as we speak...
Not like it eases the pain any, but in time that will hopefully heal.

I can't believe people like the a******e that drove on after hitting your cat. I am a firm believer in karma, though.

I am so sorry about your loss.

My brother (who is not a cat lover) once stopped to pick up a dead cat that somebody else had killed. He put it by the side of the road to ensure that its owner would find it.

The thought of losing one of my babies horrifies me.

I will be thinking of you today.

it just seems so unfair some people have animals and really dont care about them. why is it the ones that are loved so much that this sort of thing happens to, he had had his breakfast then he always goes over the field to have a look for the rabbits then comes back about 9 and has a sleep, he must have been on his way home, a friends daughter was driving past and saw him and picked him up and brought him to me

Oh ruthann58, I am so, so sorry. You must be so devastated. It has happened to several of my cats in the past and it's awful, made even worse by the fact that someone didn't even care enough to stop and move him. At least it was quick and he obviously didn't suffer.

As BOO wisely says, crying is good. I am glad you came here to tell people who appreciate what you are going through.

Hello Ruthann - I'm so to hear about your poor little cat, it's such an awful thing to happen.

A few years ago, one of neigbours knocked to tell us that our little Cleo (pure white deaf cat) had been killed at the end of our road. The driver had at least stopped & kindly laid her on the verge. The girls & me cried & cried too, so don't hold back the tears.

We're all her for you. -xx-
