Hey,

We took my kitten Cefa back to the vets today for her post op check after being spayed, and they said that due to the op, she now has a heart murmour and infection.

Now im no expert, but I thought animals were born with them? They have given us anti biotics for her and she has to go back in a week, she will be ok wont she?!

I hope so - she isn't very lucky. I thought that cats were supposed to be lucky! :-)

I was born with a heart murmour and it hasn't hurt me at all.

Best wishes to Cefa from Frankie and Princess Merlin x
Oh poor Cefa as if she has'nt had enough problems. One of my oldies Peggy she has a heart/m.What happens every now and then she falls over and has what I can only descibe as a mini fit,the vet told us to leave her on her side until the blood pumps back to her brain, she gets up and is a bit unsteady for a short while. She then sleeps for the best part of the day[on the sofa].And is fine.I'ts awful to see her and I sometimes wonder if this is the way Peggy will leave us she is 15 .I do hope she is with us for much longer but you always have these things in the back of your mind. Her vet would not put her on any medication [he said because of her age]She leads a normal doggy life, other than she cannot go on long walks like her brother Mickey. So hope every thing is ok for little Cefa and try not to worry too much[I know you will] Just make her life as comfortable and happy as you can, thats the main thing.love g
Sorry wiggal forgot to mention that Peggy is a dog.My three cats are fine, but I would think it's the same thing dogs or cats

Hey :)
Both my sister and Samoyed Ashke werfe born with heart murmours, but they have both sorted themselves out in time and are fine now!
Cefa is only just a year bless her!
Strange thing is, dont know if its caused by the infection, but she is eating loads, she has always loved her food! But she is getting very skinny, which is worrying me more.
She has been wormed by the way.

Ta for your replies!
