Except the tail...
All mammals have seven neck vertebrae (vertebras?) -- even giraffes. I think the numbers in chest, lower back and pelvis are also constant or nearly so, though I know some pigs are bred to have more.
However, the number in the tail does vary, mainly with length. (Even humans and other apes have an internal tail, the sacrum with some vertebrae in it.)
and other apes have an internal tail, the sacrum with some vertebrae. of these which are fused together in some animals. Still no-one has come up with the number of vertebrae.
