i saw a NEWT !!!!

cant remember the last time i saw a newt !
i have no idea what type it was or anything else about it, but i was well happy.
it was in the craziest of places. 100yards from a fierce and wind swept sea on the Welsh coast. just toddling along in long winter/early spring grass next to a rail line.
i only saw it for a couple of seconds but it was a newt.
the last one i saw must have been 30 years ago.

Cool!! I live up a mountain in west Wales and we have newts in our pond. They're tough little things (they have to be, to survive up here), but that's the nice thing about Wales - it's one of Nature's last wild places in the UK. K xx
