i have a 12 year old jack russell who gets an upset stomach quite a bit nowadays, at least i assume this to be the problem as his stomach makes squeaking noises and he wont eat or drink all day, the next day he is fine and back to normal, i have not changed his diet the only difference being that he takes an arthritis tablet once a day could this be the reason?

I had similar problem with my old JR we found feeding little and often did the trick,if you cant manage that 2 small meals a day may be better than one.

What is the arthritis tablet?

Some can cause stomach upsets.

Sorry to hear about your dog.
As the others said, it may well be the medication to cause the stomach problem.
Arthritis meds cause us humans to have stomach problems and the same can apple to dogs.
Have you telephoned the Vet? I would and get some information on the medication prescribed.
Hope your dog is back to normal soon. x
