Hi HK..................I'm in Devon, and I can think of several good courses/hotels.
First - what's a links course ?
Hi hau kola , your released !! :-) xxxx
Builder - a links course is one by the seaside, usually with sand dunes but few trees or water hazards (see here http://golf.visitscotland.com/golftalk/faqs/wh at-is-a-link-course).
Lmao! He set you a task?

Is that another name for "I cant be bothered doing this myself, so I'll get the wife/PA to do it for me"???

PS
I have one the same.
pmsl, what a task, could he not have asked you just to cook summit different lol
You know who would probably know the answer to this.. Caz. I suggest you try and catch up with her later.

cheers ears.

golf links courses are run by the council, so there should be a list on the council website

http://www.dorsetforyou.com/index.jsp?articlei d=17557

make sure you check the following

*some courses require a handicap to play
*is there a specific dress code? (normally the more expensive ones require certain dress codes..no jeans ect..)

I would like to tell you that I am jealous...
Question Author
thanks cazz.they are all seasoned players so theyve got handicaps and know about dress codes etc.
Question Author
cazz, forgot to say he played the Belfrey on saturday for free.
As has already been suggested there is the Saunton golf course - details here - http://www.sauntongolf.co.uk/

There is also a hotel right next to it - http://www.brend-hotels.co.uk/TheSauntonSands/ Home.cfm

My dad is a member of this golf course, but just to let you know, if the weather is bad, its really bad on the course.
Question Author
thanks mattie, i will pass all this on to him.
