Wasn't particularly worried about this, but while I am here, I thought I would get otheres opinions.
Last night Murphy walked in the lounge and promptly threw up his dinner. He had only just finished eating it seconds before, but it all came out complete, it was unchewed. Now I was presuming that he had just scoffed his dinner too fast and hadn't chewed it and this was why he threw it back up. He is perfectly happy in himself. I just wanted to see what others thought, incase there is something wrong. Thanks. Daffi x

And Murphy is your what? Dog? Cat? Budgie? Goldfish?

Sorry, wildwood, Murphy is my dog. 6 month old GSD x Border Collie x
One of our daughter's cats used to do this & it was because she scoffed her food up too quickly!

She started to put less food in the bowl, but more often & it doesn't happen any more.

Hope that helps. -x-

Thanks, smudge. He doesn't normally scoff so quick, but Mr daffi came home slightly earlier from work (he works away most of the week) so thought maybe the fact 'daddy' had just got home might have had something to do with it. x
My dog does this if he is excited. Runs to the food bowl and scoffs up any remaining food in one big rush and then promptly sicks it up!! So, I agree, It's Mr Daffy's fault! ;o)

Thanks, LoftyLottie! I thought that this was probably what caused it, but just wanted to make sure. x
Yep, blame Mr D, daffi hun! Poor Murphles though, give him a belly rub from me! At arms' length though, in case he gets overexcited again! Poor boy. xx
Dogs often bring their food back, and then eat it again bit by bit.
Looks gross I know but its what they would do in the wild, eat it quickly in case another animal came along to take if off them, return to their lair and then regurgitate it and eat it at their leisure. Same as mothers do for their offspring.
Don't worry about it, daffi - mine do it quite often, especially Jake (who's 5) - he just eats too quickly! So long as Murphy doesn't do it every time he's eaten, he'll be fine. Dogs just wolf their food down & sometimes they bring it straight back up again - what lankeela says is right. K x
I know that cats are supposed to be delicate eaters but if Frankie is hungry he eats his dinner (and his sister's too) really quickly. Then he barfs it all up again.

Poof wee Murphy was just happy to see his daddy.

One of my dogs did that today daffi. She'd fine now though - just being a greedy girl, i expect! x
