I think it's nice that you kept one of her kittens from her first litter, as it will be company for her and it's better, if you have more than one cat, that they're related, as they will get on together. She's just being normal in doing what you describe. Don't forget, she's just lost a litter really and so her hormones are a bit up the creek! She'll settle down soon, so don't worry, just enjoy her and the kitten's company. If they're anything like my mother cat and her 2 babies (now 2 & a half years old), they fight like h**l and then sit & wash each other as though they're saying, "I love you, really!" (Don't forget to get the kitten neutered, though, will you?) K
Hiya,
At the beginning of last year, I went to take my cats to be spayed and they said that they were already pregnant, I said I didnt want them to go through the operation.
We then had 16 cats and kittens in one house at the same time! My god was it mad!
The cats all mothered each others kittens, and for a long time after, the cats would call out to the kittens, even when they were 6 months and older, and would be calling to younger cats that werent even their young!
All 7 of mine are now nuetered/spayed, and please make sure your kitten gets the op.
All mine get along fine now, and our house is pretty much peaceful, they have all found their places in the house and know where they sit in the order of the house :)
