hi krustyman just an update on the blackbirds they now appear to be ready to leave the nest three in total no further problems with the other nests i am watching if i see or find anything else to tell you about i will keep in touch best of luck

So glad to hear of your good fortune, there can never be too many songbirds! I'm afraid that I'm now pretty sure that the last surviving Robin chick didn't survive long enough to take flight and the parents have now gone their seperate ways. However, it's always heartening to hear of success stories such as yours. Enjoy them.
